The role of Shetland Development Trust is to give direction to the development of the Shetland economy. We achieve this through the provision of financial assistance to new and existing businesses that can demonstrate a need for funding. Our support is aimed at projects which demonstrate commercial viability and lead to the maintenance and development of Shetland's industries, on a long term sustainable basis.
Our financial assistance can come in a variety of forms to suit your requirements. Loans are by far the most common form of assistance although we can offer hire purchase agreements, equity investments and can act as guarantors. We work with you and advise on the most suitable option to meet your requirements while satisfying our criteria.
