Knitwear and agriculture
We want to ensure Shetland's indigenous industries continue to be an important part of Shetland's future economy and remain a strong feature of our culture. Knitwear and agriculture are an important element of our cultural heritage and we aim to support the development of these industries.
A recent equity investment has allowed the Shetland Development Trust to assist in the development of the Shetland textile industry. The company will use the equity investment to investigate new markets, develop the business and its workforce, and extend knitting yarn sales.
