SHETLAND DEVELOPMENT TRUST STAFF UPDATE
Shetland Development Trustees have appointed Neil McDougall to the position of interim general manager until the end of August 2007. During this period, he will also continue in his role as the Trust’s financial controller.
Neil McDougall has over three years of financial experience working for Shetland Development Trust. He previously worked as an internal auditor with Shetland Islands Council as well as holding financial accounting positions for several other Shetland businesses. Neil also brings a wide range of experience gained from working in countries such as Australia and Libya.
This announcement follows the secondment of Neil Grant to the position of interim head of Community Economic Development to integrate Shetland Islands Council’s Economic Development Unit and Shetland Development Trust into the proposed Shetland Community Development Trust.
Chairman of Shetland Development Trust, Josie Simpson, wished both employees success in their new positions. He said: “We look forward to ensuring that Shetland Development Trust continues to deliver a high quality service – providing the financial support and infrastructure for businesses to develop and grow.”
