We are here to support all industries and we strive to expand our investment portfolio. We are happy to consider and encourage all businesses and the formation of new industry sectors. We also recognise the importance of our indigenous industries to our economy and to Shetland's historic culture and heritage.
Our portfolio currently sits at over 180 individual investments across more than 80 companies. The cost value is £41.6m as from 30th June 2006, £17m of this is invested in whitefish quota

The amount of commercial investments we have in each of the industry sectors varies greatly but as you would expect, the larger the sector in Shetland, the greater the level of investment that we have.
